One Man's Hunt for Civil War
Grave Sites

    This program discusses Mr. George's 8-year project to identify and locate the original
    burial sites of 240 Civil War veterans who served with the 9th Ohio Light Artillery.

  •        The techniques used to locate a civil war
                   veteran's grave site.
  •        The genealogical data discovered as a result
                  of the 8 years project.
  •        Civil War era experiences, accomplishments
             and losses of  the 9th Ohio between the
             years 1861 and 1865.
  •        Post-Civil War era experiences of the
             former civil war veterans during the period
             1866 - 1936

Each person in the audience will receive a handout:

"How to Locate a Civil War Veteran's Grave Site".

            A master copy of the handout will be mailed to the
      program director, in advance, with the request that they
         reproduce enough copies for the size of the audience.

Presentation is performed in conjunction with Mr. George's book, "Men of the 9th Ohio"
