Civil War Campsites in Ohio The program tells the story behind the 77 campsites that existed in Ohio, between the years 1861 and 1865. These campsites were used to induct and train more than 311,000 Ohioans who served in their country during the American Civil War. With the use of "Then and Now" photographs, the history of the campsites are discussed and their locations are revealed. Modern day photographs and maps detail their exact locations.
